Magma is part of sebastien Arrighi’s Shivers series. It represents a series of fragments, scenes and objects captured in the truth of their appearance, in protected sites, wastelands, rare specimens and other details representative of the synthetic reality that emanates from many territories occupied by man.
The artist’s familiarity with these subjects reveals here the few traces, shocks, sounds and energy expense that would have altered the texture of the landscape, as would in the dark, a shiver passing through your body. These images were made in Corsica, the South of France, Spain and Lebanon.
This publication will be followed by a group exhibition in 2020 in the USA.
